My younger cat does that with warm clothing form the tumble drier. He knows the click of the drier door when the cycle has finished.

does he get fur all over your clean clothes? Cats love the warmth.

cat fur is the bane of owning a cat. Short-haired cats seem to shed more though while long-haired leave clups of fur everywhere.
