creating a Web 2.0 guide for my school. What would be your tip for a newbie? My #1 tip: it is not about the tool, but about the learning

techtiger...I would love to see this when you are finished... we are going to be opening a new middle school this year, and lots of things
like this will be needed...I will be happy to help in any way...
My tip...Be willing to SHARE....and others will SHARE with you...
My other tip...Don't take Criticisim the wrong way...we are trying to help you...not hurt you
not familiar with that...what exactly is that...
just a place to publish online
My tip...get connected to others who want to learn...don't assume that folks in your building will be enough
Interesting idea. Who is the sudience for the guide- students, teachers? Whats the point?
my tip is to get connected with an online PLN. I've learned more from my PLN here on plurk than in many workshops!

the guide is for teachers. It is going along with a PD day I am doing in Aug. Just something for them to refer back to later o.
I am starting w/ tips then going into basic tools. Screenshots, teacher ideas, and project ideas
yes, the day is being held in the computer lab. only short time for demos and then lots of time to play.
I like PD when we are told ahead of time what type of materials to bring & we create something we'll be able to use in a lesson
I know that sounds simplistic, but other times I learn something & think "Cool!" but then don't have time to play w/it once back teaching.
