Yes so I don't loose any pages when I remove it to read it over and decide when/if I'll make it

no - I make a copy of the pattern and then put the original back in the page protector and filed away so that I don't lose it and....

No...'cuz I usually make a photo copy of my pattern for transportation/marking

No, I think a page protector is enough. If someone wants to staple theirs that's easy, but it's not so easy to unstaple.

. If I want a staple (and I do) then I just put one in, if I don't and have to take it out--holes

Yes. I like to protect it but want it stapled to keep the order. I suppose I could copy it.
