Yes, you know how they put a green screen behind of you so you can put your own background?
That can create green screens or do green screen effects?
I would think you'd have the green screen "in studio" so you can do the compositing effect in software on the computer.
In studio, how much is that? I currently use iMovie and was thinking to upgrade to final cut express but not sure if they have that.
I would like to put a different background in my video instead of my computer room.
WatariGoro maybe not for this video that I'm working on for you guys but the next one
Well, I know how the process is done "chroma-keying", but I have little knowledge of which computer software (especially Mac software)...
LMaui I saw that website last night, but do I have to make my own bluescreen with a sheet or something?
WatariGoro yes now I remember reading "chroma-key" and I don't have any knowledge of that haha! I'm just experimenting
Yeah, pretty much, you'd have a screen (green or blue, traditionally, but I think any solid color that isn't the same chroma value as...
...anything in your foreground would do) to that the software can "pick" that color, "drop it out" and replace it with the video image...
It's difficult to understand all that stuff, especially because I'm only doing this for fun. But I'd like a nicer background then my room!
...you choose. That's like how those weather forecasts are done.
It's not as hard as you might think.
I watched a video on YouTube and it looked so complicated adjusting all those slider bars and everything using final cut express!
So it really doesn't matter what color it is?
I don't even know what chroma value means?
It might be easier (if there are presets in the software to use green or blue) to have those colors, but basically, so long as it's a solid
....color and not one you'll be using in the foreground, you should be okay.
I'm not sure about iMovie but I'm sure that final cut express may have that.
I've heard many people complaining about the new iMovie, I'm not sure why? I have the old iMovie 6
really? I guess I'll just stick with the version I have then. I'd like to get final cut express but I need to learn iMovie first.
the reason why it seems more complicated... is because it IS. Chromakey backgrounds should be evenly lit - and the subject should be
a good distance from the green background to avoid spilling light onto the subject.
I wanted something simple, it's not for work just for personal use.
