Alberto is

disconcerted by how much mosquitos like him and how innovative they are to get to his skin.

beckysalljazzy says

DanDrew
hmmm... they don't like garlic... at least that is something I've always heard (unsure)
beckysalljazzy says

I don't get bitten as much as I did as a kid, so maybe the garlic does help? 'cause I eat much more of it now...
Alberto

laughed at Faidley's comment. I got bitten on the face AND through my shirt. Though maybe I SHOULD walk around w/ a shirt on my face.
Alberto will
try out this garlic thing! But for now will just be itchy. :-)

beckysalljazzy says

Alberto will

soon be armed with gas masks, garlic, and a wardrobe consisting entirely of plastic (or latex, but that'd be a whole other scene!)

take B vitamins too. Dunno which particular ones *shrugs* and use pure lavendar oil on the itchies.

Oooh and huggles. Those fix evathing. (cozy)(cozy)
beckysalljazzy has

garlic fingers now and will use them to scare the mosquitos away from Berto!

gah! Was going to tease about how yummy you must be, but that sounds horrid. sorry!

not much use against getting bitten, but vinegar on the bites makes them stop itching almost instantly and keeps it that way.
dillydally says
more effective than any shop-bought stuff I've ever found.
DanDrew
thanks for that Silly!! never knew that... but I HATE the smell of vinegar, tho it's prolly worth tolerating for itchy bites
mumzski wonders
if you like lavendar then coz it works really well, too, tho not as easy (or inexpensive) to obtain.
DanDrew
maybe put on the vinegar then wash it off then put on lavender??
dillydally says
you can prolly find vinegar with little smell at all, some of the natural ones are neutral enough to tolerate if you know what I mean :-D
mumzski
no, Sondrewz, if you use pure lavendar oil, just use that and put it directly on.
mumzski
if you use vinegar, on the other hand...well, you get the idea. :-D
mumzski
emphasizes PURE lavendar oil, not just stuff that has some lavendar in it and is very diluted with who knows what else.
mumzski
but it makes more sense to try the vinegar first!
Alberto thinks
that between the lavender oil, vinegar, and garlic he will not only repel mosquitos but any prospects for dates. :-)

(rofl)
dillydally says
seriously though, if you use a natural vinegar with little or no smell, you need a tiny bit, just have a shower before you go on a date :-D
Alberto
now I have to shower?! Next thing you know, you'll be telling me I should be showering every day!
