whether or not you would or would not buy or sell a podcast is IRRELEVANT to the following issue:

apple provides no means for the creator of a podcast to choose to sell it or not

when apple DOES DO THAT, then you can share your opinion about whether you'd buy it or not (or sell)

the problem with the conversation around itunes and the enabling of commerce is almost 100% always going to switch...

... to the opinion of whether or not one would buy it or not.

If someone puts a price on their podcast and no one buys it, great, that's the market at work. But they can't even do that.

You can sell podcasts in iTunes of course by making them spoken word albums and pretend you're a musician.

The architecture is set up to get an episode or a single unit.

So it is what it is. Would be fun to see a top ten list *by sales* to see where rubber really meets the road.
