I agree Jark, but think it might take some convincing before everyone is weaned off Twitter
to agree. Fun but definitely not twitter replaceable. At least not in its current form.
I never got into twitter but for some reason(s), I really dig Plurk. Look, it let's you respond to people's update. That's a huge plus.
the ability to respond is a killer plurk feature. Before plurk is more usable the interface needs to be more logical rather than novel.

this method of threading updates without having to use a 3rd party service (like for Twitter) is a very nice feature.
to agree. i would like to see the date/time (or something to indicate such) on comments, just for clarity and to see a conversation's age.

that bit of news. ping.fm rocks, so plurk updating would be a nice and wanted addition.

I think the biggest advantage of Twitter these days is its API and SMS gateway. If you don't have that, it's useless for me.
API's. i wonder if plurk expects to implement an API of sorts.
