that's what I was thinking. if you have 100's of friends/fans the noise would overwhelm

i dont think there will be noise

the GUI is built based on time based posting and so will stretch to create a better user experience

I really want to see this scalability in action...if it's as intuitive as you say, it will address one of my biggest issues with Twitter.
