it's interesting how James wrote about love, but never married when he was alive.
it begs the question if that was the only way he knew how to love.
I think one can know what love is and yet still never have married. It's not like he was writing about marital life. But yes, interesting.
It is rather curious, but you don't have to be married to be in love...
Also, is all his work thusly focused or are we mistaking a part for the whole?
