"Maggie" is hard to follow sometimes, but appreciates Crane's extensive detail and descriptions in his story.
I like how he pretty much sets the stage at the beginning of the novella. He doesn't pull any punches...
...he uses words such as "demons", "assassins" in places like "Rum Alley" and "Devil's Row"...
...he doesn't set the atmosphere up, he just flat out blows us away with descriptions of violence and despair...
Yeah, he truly does. Throughout the reading, I could clearly picture the settings and the devastation there due to the intense descriptions
