On my darker screen it looks fine, on my lighter one it's a lil bit of the glowy on the text. Clear and legible though.

on the darker screen the grey legaleze is not readable, would need to highlight for contrast to read

I did start a bright bg style sheet but became so fiddly. So you prefer the text darker? Maybe your monitor is too bright?

I have found, generally, folks bitch less about light bg than dark, but as with everything, someone will be displeased.

I think that some older people (me)struggly visually with a dark background. Lighter is easier to see for some of the visually impared.
