Yup friends or people you choose to follow. I think the idea is you find somebody who seems interesting, friend or fan them and then check

out their friends. and so on. But it is an opt in to hear other people so at the begining it can seem really sparce. Also some

people do not fill out much info on themselves so it is hard to find some people of common interests at times

but it gets better
