Bruise the gin. That's a load of shit. A martini must be shaken in order to aerate the drink allowing the flavors to come out propperly.

I may not know traditional bar vocabulary and technique but I do know what makes a tasty beverage. And, I must say, the Vesper is awesome!

You have to adjust the recipe a bit to make it taste like the original since Gordons has reformulated and Kine Lillet is no longer available

Use Tanqueray Stolichnaya and lillet blanc but you have to ad a dash of bitters since the lillet no longer contains enough quinine.
