I feel like suicide was a little irrational. But I definitely felt bad for him.

Suicide is always irrational- as humans we're supposed to act in our best interests, and it's arguably in no one's best interest to be dead.

But from Willy's perspective, it probably made sense. He can maintain his ideal/delusion that he is the provider and his family will be ok.

suicide doesn't make sense in any situation especially this one. sure he pays off their debt but then their a family with no source of incom
