AMA Fandom edition! I've been going through some not the best personal shit lately, so ask me any fandom related questions, or even hobby related questions to distract me!
And since it's been so long, feel free to ask about any fandom to see if it's something I've gotten into!
What is the fandom you’ve most recently gotten into?
I don't actually get involved in fandoms anymore, but some shows I have watched recently and really enjoyed are Our Flag Means Death, Miss Fisher's Murder Mysteries, The Bear, The Dragon Prince. I also fell back into Zelda when Tears of the Kingdom came out, and Assassin's Creed: Black Flag because pirates
Also Shadow & Bone. The books got me through COVID and got me into reading again, and I also loved the show
Yeah that's kind of what i meant; i don't really engage with fandoms either
exactly, I dunno how to engage with new people anymore. After all the shit Marvel fans dump on Clintasha fans, I just can't be bothered to even try with people anymore
oh I also finally caught up on Doctor Who
what are your thoughts in general, and on the newer stuff?
I got Clara fatigue but I came back when Twelve switched companions and i LOVED Bill
I found Thirteen's episodes kind of uneven but I liked her
I enjoyed the specials with Donna and Fourteen
And I like what I've seen of Fifteen so far
Ohhh have you watched all of The Bear?
magicom I feel that. I just got tired of the companions all being 'special' in some way instead of just a regular human. And I did like 13 as well but her seasons were not the best. I still have no idea what the whole Flux thing was even about lol
I enjoyed 14/Donna, mostly 'cause I just really love Donna, but I wasn't a big fan of the whole concept tbh. Like when we got 15's introduction, it felt like more of a tribute to David Tennant because he's so popular. really took away from 15's first appearance for me. I liked hisfirst special though
"Forks" That episode was so good!
yeah i would agree with that assessment
My favourite! an absolute perfect episode of television
Agreed, I have never had such a complete turn around on my feelings about a character as I did in that episode. Character growth done right!
"Fishes" was just so painful to watch though. Good but painful.
OMG JLC in that, and then her bit in the finale.
I couldn't handle it. TBH I was married to a Sicilian, that is not far off from every holiday we spent with his family. His parents were divorced. but they would get together with all the extended fam.
I'm generic white pasty euromutt.
I did not know how to deal with that.
oh god that sounds terrifying
The volume alone was frightening, everyone yells
they didn't know how to communicate at less than shouting volume.
So that episode was a flashback from hell, but damn was it good.
I would shrivel up and die in such an environement lol
hi girl! What's the last fandom you've played from/written for?
Hey you! I tried a little Shadow & Bone, but I've barely written a word in like 2 years or something
So probably still Clintasha was the last
