The good thing about my current job is flexibility and being paid on time, the bad thing is that sometimes they're vague on instructions and I have to just guess? About what to do
So I'm basically an instructional aide at my current site right now, but I'm never approached to look at IEPS of the students I'm in charge of helping and nor do I know if that's appropriate to ask so I tend to play it by ear/by teacher
I helped one of my students in Algebra 1 and unforunately he is one of those students who hasn't done anything so I usually sit down and help him on tests and quizzes
He got a good score and his teacher was like ??? Did you cheat but I made sure to talk with her about the support he's been getting from me bc otherwise he'd sit and do nothing and I'm like "uh, I don't want to do nothing"
I'm just! Anxious!! Bc I don't want to contribute to someone's learned helplessness, I just need to know the best approach to help that certain student
Also the teacher is kinda intimidating and I irritated her near the beginning of the year but I made sure to correct my own behavior... so i just hope I didn't irritate her more when I just got back
I think she at least appreciates that I communciated and that I'm deferring to her judgement for this matter here; she'll have him retake without my help and i think that's super fair
