just as an update: I am fine, I am mostly recovered from the really nasty stomach bug that me and Housemate caught from Housemate's cousin's kiddo. woof. I was not human on Tuesday. (TW: mentions of illness and bodily functions, I'm trying to stay away from TMI description.)
Housemate's mom caught it first from the kiddo, who definitely got it from daycare.

she was so sick that she had to reschedule her flight back to Nova Scotia.
nausea, headaches, diarrhea, the works.
then, Housemate caught it, and was too sick to drive Mom to the airport on Monday morning. fortunately, I was awake enough to drive her to the airport in plenty of time for me to get to work without too much issue.
but by Monday evening, I was starting to have really intense stomach cramps, nausea and diarrhea.
by midnight, I was sure I was never gonna be human again. had to emergency Bail on a Union job, because I would have less than useless and a biohazard.
Tuesday, delirium. Big Tuesday energy. I think I fell asleep with my chin on the toilet bowl rim at some point, woke up, and fell asleep on the bathroom floor. then eventually woke back up and stumbled to the pull-out couch downstairs and crashed there.
just... high key not okay. but I woke up this morning and felt better. not amazing but better. I kept down food and I have been drinking water like mad.
I think I was pretty badly dehydrated. 😅
so yeah, just mainlining water and salty foods.
fortunately, Binta was, once again, not home for the return of the Plague House™.
we have bleached the fuck out of both bathrooms, and hopefully they won't catch anything.
gosh, I hate being sick.

did yard work today, nothing intense, some stomach grumbling but nothing bad
bumped one of my succulents and the head just... fell off.
so I spent a good hour cleaning, splitting, and repotting the somewhat rotten head and the bazillion pups growing out of this pot.
tragically I did not have a picture of all of these in one pot. it was ridiculous
I even threw a bunch away, like holy shit.
Wow! Glad you're feeling better! One of my coworkers went home today with a stomach ache, and someone from another branch that I was supposed to have a Zoom meeting with was also home sick with a stomach bug! It's really going around!
