🌌 (prompted by disc.) systems who don't believe in system accountability are a red flag in my eyes. respectfully. Because listen, As an alter in a system, yall have to share one space, one body and a lot more. and if ONE person does something bad in the system it reflects badly on everyone in the system regardless of individuality. (cont. in comments.)
if someone in the system does something bad and people have to speak up on it. it is your job as an alter IN SAID SYSTEM to hold them accountable to their actions and deal with them. That being, the system must hold the alter accountable for what they did. and also acknowledge what they did.
the host or someone who can speak for the system can apologize for/after the alter that did the offense. Because again. even though you are an individual, you are lumped in with the members of your system if you like it or not.
and taking accountability for what happened as a collective helps hold the individual accountable but also helps better the image of the system by saying "Hey!!! we don't condone this crap as a collective!!! we are all not like this!!" and an apology goes a long way!!!
