i can't wait for summer to be over. the heat, and humidity, feel like an actual force against my skin. i have MS (yes, it was confirmed in 2018) and on a normal day, it feels like anything touching me is trying to hurt me but, summer?
i need to move to a place that is fall - spring all year round. i feel like i am suffocating in the summer months.
We moved to Oregon to escape the summer heat in California. Still very warm through summer here.
ChefKarl: to give you an example... the night before last was 17c... last night it was 36c.... tonight it is 24c.... i am dying here.. this is NIGHT time.
Tillie: iceland, that looks awesome!
and considering the record low for winter for us was something like -48c, i think I could handle -23 like a pro! I have flirted with looking into Alaska in the past... but, being we are in Canada, my family doesn't want to go over the border... meh... even if it would severely change my life lol.
You know, climate doesn't follow borders.
You just need to move close enough.
There's enough Canada on the same height.
I think mandatory is being at the coast, as the sea evens out the peaks in both directions.
Tillie: which is closest to Ontario though? I used to be so good at Geography.. it was my best subject but, it's been 25 yrs or longer, and my memory (ty ms) is shhhh.....bad...
-17°C to 26° in Montreal.
Tillie: omg, i would love to live closer to my mum
Ontario doesn't look too bad to me.
this doesn't include the humidex, and the indoors without AC lol
the other night was 24c "feels like 36c", it was horrible, then we cannot afford ac, let alone have anywhere to put the machine. lol old townhouse
Tillie: haha yeah, hurling is fun! lol

We usually don't have AC in germany, except in big company offices and better hotels.
I have a mobile one, but that spits out hot air at one end, so this only works in the morning when it (hopefully) it's still cool outside. So it blow cold air into the flat while sucking out the humidity, and due to the underpressure air from outside is sucked in elsewhere through a window.
That basically only helps to make the heat less annoying by removing some humidity.
So we silently endure the heat, even if it's 36°C outside.
My max temperature inside this year was 28.8°C so far.

But the hottest days are yet to come, 2 days with like 34°C announced mon/tue, but then thunderstorms and it's getting down again. Luckily no heat for weeks as we had in previous years.
Taylor is right. The summer is cruel.
sorry i didn't see this. i have been mostly offline and not checking. we ended up with a bunch of "air coolers"... you put ice in them, and they blow cooler air, and an air circulator.
