Three, two-hour long documentaries.
........you know in your heart you do.
That is six hours of Slenderverse content.
for the record I was lurking the thread where he first appeared so like, I am invested in the tall pale guy for life.
as someone who was not overly invested but did watch the documentaries: do recommend
Man the bit from the creator of hiimmarymary reminds me how goddamn underrated that series was when it was coming out.
I also really love how every interview shows that, out of most the iconic characters in the original Slenderverse series, Evan Myers was just basically his actor. For all I know that man let himself get possessed for like two years as method acting.
Not Nightmare tearing into the MH guys for everyone using VHS distortion as shorthand for monsters.
I admit I am very curious if this video is going to address a certain former series or not. Them recasting the big three as Marble Hornets, EverymanHYBRID, and Just Another Fool is definitely a choice.
(Namely the big three was MH, EMH, and then usually TribeTwelve, which the creator for that got outed for being a groomer.)
You know, I wasn't aware that EMH started while everyone involved was in high school explains a lot of the messiness of it.
Okay Evan revealing that Jeff's whole emo avenger ac got cut short because he was being so overwrought the other three demanded they kill the character off has slain me.
Alright I take back what I said about them not addressing TribeTwelve, good shit, right way to handle that.
Feels a little unnecessarily dismissive of Dreams In Darkness, which despite being one of the earliest entries in the Slenderseries actually plays with Proxies more than damn near anything else.
probably part of the reason it elides DiD that way is because of the comparative excessive emphasis on the proxies vs the presence of the selnder man itself, i say, not having gotten to that part in the doc myself but getting a very clear sense from the start of it that the first part at least is much more interested in mister ten dollar than the extras
I think it is a combination of that and that Alex seems to have been able to get ahold of a lot of the other major blog writers so DiD gets short shrift for not having direct representation.
