1) I never realized until now that the Peace Bringer is literally just the manga Long Colt frame, with a couple extra little grooves for detail added. So all of the dudes who've been whinging about them changing the gun are even more ridiculous than I realized.

and 2) I noticed very early in the release of Stampede that Vash was using the gun as a tonfa more than he ever used it as an actual gun, so him having the thing modified so that it could handle being used as a blunt-force-trauma defensive weapon first and a firearm only as a last resort makes perfect sense.

And the thought of him going "I need to make sure if anyone else gets their hands on this thing, they won't be able to do very much damage with it" while also making it a longer barrel so that it gives it more long-range accuracy, something that he'd be more capable of using than most humans on top of everything else, is just very Vash, lbh. He would

absolutely do just that.

Because yeah, it's been modded down to a .22, and those are more often than not just used as like...fuckin' rodent shooters these days. But in Vash's hands, it could still be an extremely capable weapon. If he wanted to kill you with it, he still could, tiny caliber or not. But it would still make it harder for anyone other than him to hurt people if

they had it.
