To be fair she has ongoing tfln CR with Angel Dust and she did tell him to cook a meal and go for a jog. But text does not convey how different her tone would be than Charlie making those same suggestions 
Ah I love when it comes out that Ari does daft things sometimes. Auctions are a form of entertainment for her and her friends, something to do when they go downstation, and they do put in silly low bids on things for fun.
And enjoy looking at the auctioned starships and dreaming even if none of them can afford their own ship yet
(to be a Tradeline captain, buy your own ship, usually with the help of some financial backers who can see you're profitable. if you're flying someone else's ship you're just 'lieutenant-in-command' which is much less impressive)
