sure there are good moments here and there but it feels like moments i can surface above the water
i'm not ok, i need a break, and i can't take one
do you mind if i give some advice here
go for it, i just got out of therapy
you just need to tell your bosses you need to take some PTO. i know the entire office relies on you to an absurd degree, and you like your coworkers, and you feel like you'd be leaving them high and dry, but. like. no human being can withstand this much pressure for this long. you need to take some time for yourself, even if it's only a few days
i'm concerned since this pattern is very familiar to me and if you keep pushing yourself like this your brain is going to break
like, what happened with me and cobalt, well, happening, is one of the better outcomes when coming out the other side of this much mental pressure
^^^^^^^^ And possibly a restructuring of your tasks, like... Take it from someone who very recently had to have her work routine restructured because she was trying to pick up everyone's slack due to a coworker leaving and burning herself out in a WEEK. You can only handle so much.
You are not superhuman, and you and your coworkers and bosses need to have realistic expectations for what you can do. Others can help pull the weight.
but it's uh. more than just work pressure.
(Nod) Yeah, and that is ALSO very rough, and I wish I had more concrete advice there.
But do think at least fixing the work pressure might help, at least in terms of having a plate that's slightly lighter, even if it's still full.
Soleil believes you deserve the self care as well, she is meowing enthusiastically.
