for both yujin and cyrus i am using ACD canon / whatever other victorian shit ive read lol as a resource in addition to their actual canons, because both their canons are new and mess around and dont stick TOO religiously to victorian diction

so while i do try to be a reasonable degree of period accurate, bc of that i do give myself some leeway and in the case of writing yujin i actually sometimes dial it back lmao bc the localization is kinda lax with it

oh another thing for yujin specifically is that i like to play with him being bilingual

so even tho dwrp has autotranslate in most games he'll intentionally speak japanese to some characters and english to others

If the localization went all Victorian, I think we'd be suffering a lot lol

But that's a neat, rarely seen in RP, thing with the bilingual talk

in ximilia yujin and kazuma were pointedly speaking in english because they didnt trust the autotranslate to translate their japanese correctly LMAO
