Today's memory : 'donkey ass and Laurelin'

I was on a Tolkien forum where all avatars had to be Tolkien-related and approved by admin. Which meant people either had movie icons or crops from art. One user was named Donkey and kept trying to get donkey-related avatars approved.

Finally some artist did a picture of a donkey with the Two Trees of Valinor, Laurelin and Telperion. This piece of art was approved as suitable for user avatars by admin

So a friend of Donkey did some great crops of it. Admin was not so impressed by some of them. 'Donkey ass and Laurelin' was not an acceptable Tolkien-themed avatar.

Probably one of those things where you had to see it unfold in real time for it to be hilarious. But it was.
