[books] I've been in a reading slump for a while now, and was worried I wouldn't finish my 2024 challenge, and then I just plowed through a book in two days

Nice, nice!
some of the reviews say it's too long-winded in the middle, but I didn't feel that way
and I really liked the flashbacks to the crew of the ship up to its sinking
the descent into madness is very creepy

Me I just finished my Goodreads challenge and was very pleased with myself. Now it's just seeing how many MORE books I can finish before the end of the year!

I'm at 23 out of 24 so I believe in you! 
according to my Storygraph, my average time to finish a book is 13 days, so maybe this will improve my average slightly
this book would've been 16, but I had to DNF my last book because I couldn't force myself through it anymore
I made it to 51% and quit
I've got one right now that might get added to the DNF pile but we'll see. I'll give it one more crack.
