Given some of the new Sinitiatives that have since come out (the extortion ring, the human sacrifices), I wanted to check in and ask whether the disappearances bear any relationship to those activities, or if it's something separate entirely!

hello alex! this is a great question c: there is actually some crossover between the new sinitiatives and what thancred is working on, but there is also a lot that is not crossed over! think of it as the ultimate stories told by these two sinitiatives are heading in two very different directions, but there are elements that are crossed over

the way i've sort of been playing it is that there are a few choice locations around old town that play into the greater story so it'd be fun to fit them all together

maybe one house is part of the resistance, there are the shops that have been extorted, there's another restaurant where the owner has a daughter who was kidnapped, etc

slides back in here just to clarify because i got a response from sheepmod: they are in fact divergent storylines, not phases of one bigger one!

from your two examples, the two sinitiatives (rich town poor town and shadows of the old town) are separate storylines from each other, albeit with some overlap in supporting characters. for example, they both take place in the pokemon world, and will involve both the gym leaders and team rocket, but ultimately they tell different stories!

it does say that some of your guys' efforts might change some setting details though! depending on what y'all do, I think because the stuff you're investigating affects the tenor of the district as a whole

But yeah I know that was an open question so I figured I would double-check to be clear

I think Min got some information about one of your baddies potentially firebombing a house depending on what we do, though, so I'm sure there'll be overlap of interest to both groups!
