so checking if anyone on my timeline might happen to have ideas before i turn to reddit

so it's been going for... maybe a little over a month? maybe almost 2? that it doesn't just turn on normally. i have to do a weird thing with jiggling to the power switch at the back of the tower to make it turn on

once it's on it's fine, but the turning on part is weird. it also boots up like it was just asleep even though i've also literally unplugged the whole tower to see if that was part of the issue, but ??????

i've also unplugged everything from it before trying to turn it on to see if there were too many things attached to it, but that also didn't seem to be the issue

i've also been thinking about my internet situation. it's not an issue when i'm using my computer normally but when playing video games my ping has just always been pretty low?

so i thought maybe it's our internet itself, so i've been looking at other providers. nat clearly doesn't have any trouble, but maybe that's because the router is closer to her?

it sounds like maybe your power supply might be busted, that or the connection from the power switch to the power supply is bad

so then i was like maybe it's my wifi adapter? so i looked up if there were better versions of it now since i got it a few years ago, and according to the internet it should still be perfectly fine... and then my brain was like maybe the motherboard? it did have to get replaced about 2 years ago already so ????

cantito: that's been my running thought until i started thinking about the motherboard potentially affecting my wifi DX

i was gonna switch out the power cord itself to see if even THAT was it, but apparently we don't have a compatible one on hand so i'd have to get a new one lol

but like now i'm just sitting here with so many ??? around my head that i'm like MAYBE I'LL JUST TAKE IT TO A REPAIR SHOP AND MAKE THEM FIGURE IT OUT
