anyway i think for yujin, staying in london was a combination of guilt, obligation, and sunk cost fallacy - and then ofc him being so attached to sholmes
he wanted to go back for susato but felt so guilty for having left in the first place that he was beating himself over whether he even deserved to come home while, at the same time, knowing he NEEDED to go home again at some point
then when you get into the obligation/sunk cost fallacy it's like oh well i already wasted all these precious years of my child's life i have to make what i sacrificed worth it. while also not going back until the government shipped him back 
he feels very badly abt it now and he def has a complex over needing to make up for it to susato
i think if like, sholmes or ryu asked him directly he would eventually own up to these feelings but you'd need to weasel them out of him lmao
