[adventure of dai] OK so the Book of Avan. Three sections. The Chapter of Earth, which details various martial techniques; the Chapter of Water, which details aura and magic; and the Chapter of Air, which addresses the heart.
We know Hyunkel read the first two thoroughly because he got the Avan-style spear techniques from Earth and learned the Hollow Stance from Water.
Did he read Air, too, or did he chicken out because he knows there's stuff in there that was written with him in mind and nope nope nope nope nope
The impression I got is he read the book of air but didn't internalize it at the time
considering he was kind of focused on murking the shit out of Avan
I'm talking about after the book comes into the possession of the Disciples during the series, after the Baran arc. I'm not sure Avan had written it yet when Hyunkel was with him as a kid. :|a

I think he only got into Air when he was laid up in bed with Super Wounds and then he got so uncomfortable he went oh no I can't deal with this I gotta get into a fight AMY WHERES MY SPEAR-
