Tell me you have no idea about resin art without telling me you have no idea about resin art
according to them, it would only be a creative piece of work if someone would DRAW onto the resin. No, glitter, flakes, pouring techniques, all of that doesn't count
So according to their logic, it's only art, if it's drawn
and yes, they also claimed that "sewing a skirt also isn't creative"
So, here you have it guys.
Writing, Cosplaying, Sewing, wig working, photography .. all of that isn't art.
Only drawing is real art and nothing else, I'm afraid ...!
Gosh, my level of salt is so high right now ...
wow imagine being that person. being that wrong and going "people need to hear how wrong I am". wild
yeah, and now they are annoyed that people are discussing this in several artist discord servers .. like ... what the hell were you expecting?
Then just be honest and say you only want drawings/sketch artists at that pop up event!
oh and the best thing? someone said that according to that logic, (because they claimed they wanted to invoke creativity and own effort) fanart should also not be allowed, because you're basically also just using a "previous mold", but nooooo, of course fanart is allowed!
(totally not because the person in question is making all their money off of Genshin and Hazbin, noooo)
Geee, bet knitting and crocheting and cross stitch and beading would all be disallowed too -_-
"you only do ___ therefore it's not art" is the argument of the weak
shinotenshi22: of course not, or are you DRAWING or PAINTING on it?
rolls eyes so hard
yeah, there has been so much salt in this household tonight .. the artist servers are torn between being all salty and just laughing about how ridiculous the whole thing is
I mean, some yarn dyers will 'paint' color onto their yarn either before or after it's been twirled into a skein, do they count? /snorts
huuuuh, difficult question. If it's just a few lines, I doubt it ........
gosh, I can't stay serious xD
but yeah, since they claimed that drawing a few lines of glitter or swirls into resin with a toothpick doesn't count as being creative, I am not sure where they would draw the line, honestly
I think my brain legit just stopped working there after reading their “thoughts” on art for a moment there. This sounds like someone that flunked out of art school hard and gained negative insight from it
well, let's hope they don't blame their art teacher and start a war over it ..
but yeah, I keep shaking my head over the whole thing
Oh, and they now started to delete comments on their insta post, that question their way of how they are seeing art
reap what you sow bitches
yeah no, these people don't want to be confronted with their own flaws
