Yes, you do. So it depends where your couch is a bit, but the cord is pretty long.

They also additionally make heated bedspreads that go on your entire bed

But if you want just a couch-sized one you probably want an electric throw

There are a few dangers with heat + weight, namely what if your heating element melts your weights and also what if the weight pushes the heating element against your skin

But maybe someone has solved that

like my apartment is not cold at all (in fact it's often really warm) but just the heat on my body to relax me is what I want
