Does anyone here have tips on how to improve story pacing + transitioning from one scene to the next after adding in very heavy detail?

Conversation dialogue too, since my characters never sound human when they talk to each other

I normally have something happen outside of the inner dialogue- someone speaks, the wind blows off a hat, a dog barks, etc. to move on from exposition. Pacing is something I struggle with, I kind of just resign myself to the pacing not being great in the first draft because I know once I finish and reread the whole book I can point out the issues and edit

I can do everything in a story (pacing, transitioning, opening, concluding, twists) EXCEPT for writing casual conversations between characters because I end up making them sound super robotic/ make the story very dialogue-heavy which I hate.

I always break up dialogue with little actions which makes it flow soooo much better
