I while back I actually had to go through mine and close them because I was causing the browser to lag

actually this would explain somehting i also have been wondering about... someone uploaded a particular video a while ago and i watched it conclusion only to see a later video explaining youtube took it down

and he showcased a screenshot of people complaining they couldn't find it to finish it

and again, just don't close it

well, if you keep the tab open, but open a newer tab or two and do stuff, returning to the tab may reload the tab automatically thereby losing the video.

or the tab may go into a RAM saving mode through the browser, effectively doing the same thing and forcing a reload when you want to use it again.

I have like 100 tabs open. Half of them are youtube

but yeah if a video gets taken down then leaving the tab open won't help you unless you have youtube set to fully load videos instead of buffering just enough to stay ahead of the loading time which is what it does by default

I have three different youtube tabs open on my laptop rn bc I don't close vids until done. (also one just has my fave ambient sounds open ready to go whenever) bc if I close then it's out of sight out of mind and I'll never finish
