The thing is "Relax he might not do what he said he would do" isn't that comforting when he said it and people voted for it anyway

my boyfriend was trying to cheer himself up earlier and I had to be, like, I need to be upset right now, because there's a lot to be upset about
even less comforting when people point at his potential/presumed incompetence as the reason why they voted for him on the off chance he does the couple of things they DO want him to do
yeah
All of these are just excuses that people think will keep you from publicly pointing out that they voted for Spray Tan Hitler specifically because they think they have something to gain from fascism.
Which, of course, means they are fascists.
They know that they are fascists, and they know the jig is up the moment you call them out on it.
