so yesterday was the last day off the freight paperwork guy, he'd put in his 2 weekes so he had time to train a replacement. Naturally upper management thought it was a great idea to try to get people from the temp agency that seems to only send us flakes lol
The girl he'd trained up to do second shift barely ended up doing anything during her shifts, and she kept leaving early and lying about it on her time sheet so her ass was fired
So this guy had to train TWO new people before he left
Also he left because upper management REFUSED to hire a second first shift person to help him out during the day, and as soon as he put his two weeks in suddenly upper management decided to hire TWO new people to replace him on first shift. Like. Why not just hire the one he wanted so you'd still have the guy that was already good at the job??????
The people in charge are so out of touch with everything outside of their shitty little bubble lol
probably cuz they could get 2 cheaper than his current pay and a second :Y never mind the money lost with shitty tactics
Won't be worth it in the long run if they keep making newbie mistakes that cost the company more money lol

God there was a stretch of a few months where upper management thought that the best way you save money was to ship all of the heater coils through UPS rather than freight. Its like the equivalent of handing the mailman a refrigerator and expecting it to not get broken in transit rather than shipping it strapped safely to a pallet on a semi
These heater coils are also very fragile and often took up the entire box that they were packed in, so there wasn't much room to try to pack them more securely so they wouldn't get damaged by UPS throwing them around. We ended up getting so many damaged units returned to us that it was costing us more money than just shipping the fucking things freight
When upper management decided we'd be shipping this shit UPS the entire shipping department had predicied this exact thing happening lol
Unrelated but I really wish the new coworkers would shut their fucking door, their fucking music isn't THAT loud but its loud enough to where I can't hear mine
