we had a microwave fire

i am still at work because i deemed it pointless to leave (as i would only get in the way)

but boy that was a scary half hour when all i knew was that the kitchen was full of smoke

yeah, Rowan texted me that she was checked out by the EMTs, and the cats were all accounted for so

i am grateful it wasn't worse

and i guess buying a new microwave is on the list for tomorrow

in a way this is almost a blessing

we were gonna need to replace that thing at some point, and better now than in a year. or even, say, two months
