[Doctor Who] jumping back to the Second Doctor; I'm going to watch The Mind Robbers, since I see it's complete on Tubi. (I could watch one of the episodes that has an animated reconstruction, though I don't know which one(s) would be good)
As far as reconstructions go, they've got:
-Power of the Daleks
-The Macra Terror
-The Faceless Ones
-The Evil of the Daleks
-The Abominable Snowmen
-Fury from the Deep
The episode starts with the TARDIS in the middle of being buried in lava due to a volcanic eruption. That sounds about right.
The TARDIS is now outside of reality.
They seem to be very deliberately going out of their way to avoid having Zoe say what/where her home actually is.
I thought the robots in the void were Cybermen at first.
Didn't expect the TARDIS to explode.
The part of Jamie will now be played by a cardboard cut-out.
It's 100% coincidental, but when the Doctor looks off to the side a bit before repeating "the Master?", I like to think that he'd be considering the possibility that it's the definite article before dismissing that idea. (I know the Master wasn't made until the 3rd Doctor's era; it's just one of those nice coincidences)
The Doctor is now surrounded by a group of creepy children who are angrily telling jokes at him.
The face that the Doctor makes for Jamie looks off.
(I'm guessing his actor wasn't available for part of this story)
Also, I find the Doctor's reaction to Jamie's face being different pretty funny, all things considered. (now he's on the receiving end of what companions go through when he regenerates)
And Jamie's face is back to normal less than an episode later.
this is one of my fave 2nd Doctor stories
Sounds good! (I'd gotten a few suggestions elsewhere, but this was the only one of those that was on Tubi - The Invasion was also recommended)
I didn't know that Zoe was from the distant future year of 2000 haha
Cyrano de Bergerac looks weirdly close to Waluigi - his appearance got a laugh out of me.
