Arthur is looking to be paired with Sokie and in their dynamic so far it's very interesting to me how it's drawing out a side of arthur that really didn't get to shine with Nathaniel and Root

Nathaniel especially needed direction on what being a Functional Human Person looked like, so arthur was mostly modelling Reasonable behaviour

...which is probably what lead to a large amount of the whiplash confusion John's friends had when he hyped Arthur up and then they met him and he was a dick, lmao

and similarly for Root she needed a Good Example, so he had to be the mature one explaining things to her blind spots

and those are both fun! obviously it's the dominant way arthur presents himself in canon as well so it's easy territory

with Sokie, arthur gets to be a fucking little gremlin and it's fantastic

Arthur "Daddy should have taught you how to tie a better knot, boyo" Lester coming in strong

arthur is a fucking brat and i'm so glad someone finally gets to be the victim of it for a good cause, hahah

Jesse, meanwhile, is much more of a stealth brat, and the deadpan is a lot more genuine than arthur's Britishisms

excited to see how this goes

but being paired with Matt means that they both speak Deadpan Sarcasm as a first language, and that she won't take his avoidant ass lying down, so there's an immediate connection

Sokie is going to be the biggest goblin back, expect pranks and big brat energy. which is hilarious because she trusts Arthur

maybe big brat energy is also because it's safe with Arthur

ngl arthur is not going to handle a lot of the early pranks gracefully, lmfao
