sadly, the aromatics didn't sink in like i'd hoped (I couldn't brine the thing, after all, but I'd hoped that stuffing it with spices, an onion, an apple, and some cinnamon would impart a bit more flavor...) but it still tastes good and isn't like chewing on desiccated astronaut food like some turkeys turn out.
