So a colleague of mine in customer service was let go. I was on a team of 4. Then 3. Soon it will be 2. Very sad for me. I'm still in shock over the earlier layoffs.
My colleague, Callie, was told yesterday. She told me this morning. I'm sad. She's nearly 60. She's being brave. But it's tough. Older ppl are treated differently in US. It's not fair. I hope she finds a new job. She stays until 31st. I will get some of her workload. My manager will stay. It's going to be hard on us once Callie is gone.
I will stay with my manager. She is sweet and reminds me of my mom at times. She likes being around me. And she will need me. We have to get thru the hard time. There will be no new hires for months, maybe a year.
