Jedao meditates, Frankie has been on stakeouts, and Kahl genuinely loves "cat sits in high place and stares at everybody"
2. how do they cope with confusion - frankie flails a bit! she's used to knowing more about what's going on than other people, and when her plans go awry she gets flustered
Jedao very much pretends he knows what's happening while taking frantic mental notes and looking shit up as soon as he's alone
he is googling fact checks on his phone under the table while cheerfully carrying on a totally separate conversation

21. Jedao definitely reacts to jealousy by pulling away a little
it's not like, punishment or a test, it's him kinda smacking himself on the wrists
"Don't get GRABBY dipshit. back up, breathe until you can act like an adult"

Frankie gets bitter on the inside and bright and flippant on the outside
side note, I don't know that Frankie's ever been jealous of a person
she's jealous of things like "your superpower is cooler"
31. both jedao's fucking LOVE "good enough for government work" as a standby joke that works in many situations
Frankie and Jedao are both a little too observant and deliberate for a go-to story, they're always going to be tailoring their approach (and in frankie's case, sometimes the other person's memories)
Kahl is not social enough
41. this is weird because like, what's End Goal
all. three of them were very, very motivated to defeat their parents in their different ways in canon - Jedao killing and overthrowing Kujen, Frankie killing and taking over from Don Harvest, Kahl destroying his mother's world. driven people!!!
and now none of them have that same kind of singular goal in the same
2. Jedao laughs pretty easily! this is half because he has a good sense of humor but also half because he appreciates the value of laughter as a social cue for putting people at ease
13. jedao has immensely weird complicated and fraught feelings about sartorial color almost entirely divorced from aesthetics
because Faction Loyalty and Faction Symbolism is so so huge in the he*archate
so like, if he's wearing black, he's In Kel Drag, he's Being A Soldier (about which he has many feelings)
if he's in red, he's Being a Shuos, he has to Be Clever and Dazzling and Not Sincere and also Keep The Side Up, and it's the faction he sort of belongs to the most but he's still not properly a real shuos, but also he LIKES being in suave dangerous secret agent mode but also it's not really HIM that's looking good and being dazzling, it's A Shuos
he wears a lot of muted earth tones and autumn colors because they sort of reference that identity without claiming it, and he feels like they draw less attention and come across as less threatening - but again that's not necessarily what he thinks looks BEST, just is the impression he WANTS to give
anyway he does know that he's gonna go jewel tones if he specifically wants to seduce somebody
he feels most comfortable in a mix of black and red with no gold, which is Kel and Shuos adjacent without being as explicit about it
of the Pretty Jewel Tones, I mean
blue is like. Sports Team Ancient Rival Enemy energy to him, and Green is Hot But Scary Inquisitors

16 - the only thing that's ever turned Kahl's stomach is learning that Sweeney is actively re-written by human beliefs about him
he tries not to make a fuss about it because obviously not sweeney's fault but like
Count Rugen voice: "That's the worst thing I've ever heard"
it's horrifying and obscene to him, he thought having an immutable divine nature that he couldn't change was being a prisoner of fate but being subject to the whims and fickle idiocies of humanity is SO MUCH WORSE
he would like to be nice to Sweeney but like. can't even imagine what would make that better. it's like looking at roadkill that hasn't died and like. how do you even help. so kahl mostly avoids him so as not to bother him with his own horror
38 - hmmm it's a tricky thing. because Kahl does not primarily respond to people in terms of traits, but in terms of ACTIONS
he cares very little about WHY somebody did something, whether it was a personal failure or deliberate or something they couldn't really avoid
so in that sense he ignores people's flaws all the time!!!!
once he's a lot closer to someone expressing aggravation becomes part of his love language though so he's going to be calling Zerxus an idiot forever
and once he DOES latch onto a thing he never lets go
8 - I think Frankie as a child was told to STOP MAKING NOISE and GET OUT OF HERE WHILE ADULTS ARE TALKING, despite her only, like, coming into the kitchen to use the toaster and not saying anything
probably after her mom died she was told to STOP CRYING SO MUCH until she learned to cry silently or just not
her dad is a REAL piece of work in some of the most boring tyrant ways
"don't talk back" if she was asking a question or pointing something out
all that kind of stuff that says nothing about her
14 - Frankie is a city girl from the bad part of town, and I do think she has some well-founded fears of feral dogs and rabid raccoons
if you put her In Nature she'd be the Yellowstone Guy Not Fucking With Bison at any big tanky thing, very much including cows and horses
THEY CAN STEP ON YOU AND BREAK YOUR WHOLE BACK ??? WHY DID WE THINK THIS WAS A GOOD IDEA
she's not as afraid of wild predators because she is confident someone else will be Slowest Hiker even if she has to turn their ankle for them
but big herbivores are less predicatable
