I never expected an Okami sequel...like yeah there's Okamiden but it's not the same

I'm pretty sure I still have my PS2 copy too

and yeah Okamiden was good (there are some songs from the OST that are super influential to me) but didn't feel like a proper Okami sequel honestly

I kind of fell off of it because it felt like the same game over again. Which... it was a handheld sequel, that's how those tend to be, but I remember getting to a point and being like "well that's probably enough of that"

but damn, wow

NEVER thought I'd see Kamiya with Capcom again.

it also has a pretty bittersweet ending It was neat that there were some new gods with new brushes and again, music was great, but in some ways it was a rehash that was made more difficult to play because of the hardware

and yeah holy cow, was not expecting that

and honestly I know folks have been waiting forever for Half Life 3 but an Okami sequel is almost on part with that, at least in my mind

I don't think they've started real production yet unfortunately, lol

They announced at the show that Kamiya is founding a new studio called Clovers (the sequel to his former studio that made Okami and got slashed) and they are working on the game with Kamiya directing

He's been telling Capcom he wanted to make another Okami for YEARS though, it was his last game with them
