Either you find a way to enjoy the things that are good when you can make that joy, or you live in unhappiness/indifference all the time. The problem with fearing the crash is that you won't see the peaks/rises until they're behind you and you can no longer enjoy them
This is why therapists like gratitude exercises. You don't have to do an entire journal every day but naming one or two things you're appreciative of can help you find the gold in the silt of a shit day, even if it's only that you survived the day. Because that IS a thing to be grateful for.
