love getting chewed out by a patient bc someone else fucked up the appointment

love getting to hear the patient call our team "disabled" and "mentally deficient" because of human error

(two of our sites have Extremely Similar names and I think this staff member might actually be partially deaf)

(especially with an Australian accent)

(think like Banker and Tankard levels of similarity)

like yeah it's frustrating but disabled really??

it's VERY easy in our system to make this error as well, with how our books are laid out, I've made it myself multiple times

but it was on the staff member to reiterate that before closing the call, and then on the patient to actually pay attention and confirm it to make sure we're on the right book

Why can't people just play nice...

it was a fuckin 16 minute call as well between being yelled at and literally handing off my headset to my manager

so when the appt was initially made it opened with "so how much would it be for a private patient to get an ultrasound done"

which then came out to mean a student

so site A (where she got booked) has Student Discounts for international students bc it's right across the road from a university, so the staff member assumed it was supposed to be in site A

who RAISED you sdsdgad

and at not point apparently clarified whether it should be for another site, which is absolutely a failure on the staff member's part

(customer not you you, obv)

but also the patient received THREE SMSs to confirm the time/date/location

and the caller (their cousin??) only decided to call us when they received the message at like 8am today, the day of, bc the PT didn't confirm the appt at any point

I've been polite to waitresses who straight up spilled scalding tea on me. because it was a mistake

I'm always tempted to say that the complete and total lapse in anything like common decency is aresult of the current political climate world wide, but there have always been asswipes like that, sadly

Oh and the patient NEVER actually confirmed the location over the phone. so there was a mutual fuck-up there
