I thought I just had a sty forming on my upper eyelid, but when I went o check it out a minute ago, LO AND BEHOLD there's actually a weird little white spot on the outer ring of the iris??? extremely cool so glad there's a weird thing on my eyeball

i think insurance doesn't kick in until the first? now i need to go back and see if i can add vision SIGH

tho health would cover an ophthalmologist, vision is just glasses. (usually)

optometry (glasses) is for some reason their own little special snowflake care system.

yeah we were looking at making a vision appointment recently and they were like "we need both vision and regular medical insurance, because if it's not part of your routine checkup it gets billed to medical! and here's a big legalese definition on what is or is not considered routine!!"

tl;dr -- health of the eyeball is medical, how well it actually works is vision? so unless this makes you need glasses it is medical

hope it doesn't come to that. and that it's something quick and easy to take care of.

I'm just hoping it clears up on it's own in the next couple days because i'd rather not spend money on urgent care before my fucking insurance starts lmao

the fucking irony is i literally JUST had a routine appointment with my regular doctor on thursday, but this sure wasn't a thing 4 days ago!!

i was planning on poking at rp shit this evening but money panic mood tank kind of killed my writing drive sigh

SMALL UPDATE: its looking less red today BUT, its still irritated and I woke up with crud in my eye so I'm just gonna play it safe and hit urgent care after work. I need my eyeballs and I'm not taking chances with them lol
