I was going to work today when my friend C called me. She was having some medical problems that needed immediate attention.

there is no doctor on the island this week, and the nearest doctor the next island up wasn't qualified to help (OB/GYN stuff)

so she had to get an appt with the doctor 2.5 hours away - and couldn't get in touch with her husband to drive her...

so I ended up taking her and the baby. All is well in the end, but it was an extraordinarily long day...

I feel like a zombie.
