to hurt them, but when the temp drops outside, they seem to think they can come into my house. Uh, no! Nasty little critters.

I have thought about borrowing someone's cat to scare mine off!
my neighbor kitty leaves little furry, dead presents in the side yard where we visit - or at least I think it's her!

Thanks for everyone's help. We have a cat, but she just plays with them and let's them go...stupid cat.
