looking for help with a specific problem in Maya. I want it to work like Second Life, damn it!
. In Second Life, a trick I often use to snap objects, is by moving prims to the "actual" location of other prims.
there a way to determine the "actual" location of a peice of geometry, or a specific vertex in Maya?
look into taking classes from Xenius Revere. He has excellent classes on using Maya for SL

if u use 3dsmax there is a free software to build like in SL and import all baked texture into SL
