wondering whether we are going to have a desktop client for Plurk. Is it needed?

it's not necessary now. But plurk does have IM update functions - not working yet it seems...
so are you thinking that all we will need is MSN or GoogleTalk? No twhirl or plurkiffic?
it depends on how plurk evolves I think. I'll miss this place if the client just updates like thwirl.
so the client would have to have its own timeline. But then it sort of beats the purpose if it looks like the website.
if every such site ends in client updates, its a failure... they can't get any revenue that way, can they?
they can, they would have to charge for the access to the API.
i didn't think of that. but it's really hard to predict the market. It's too fast and you haven't get back investment, new things appear...
